well before we go giving kudos to some new ITK when in turns out to be true. he probably read it on the saints forum where their ITKs are hearing it's happening.

Would be great if this happened but Schneiderlin has been on everyone's radar for years, it would be unlike Wenger to wait till he peaked before he swooped in when his price is at its highest.

£24m would be a great deal though, home grown player as well!

If we managed to sign Schneuderlin, we should just spend the rest of our budget on the best forward we could get for it. That would be a great summer.

Schneiderlin and Reus has been my wishlist for about 10 months now. Cech is a welcome bonus. 🙂

This would be more bizarre than signing Ju-Young Park. While i have always understood (but not always agreed with) what our transfer policy is like, this would be totally out of the ordinary and nothing like any other signing before.

So true. 24m for Schneiderlin is a fantastic price.

According to twitter, that Saints ITK broke many of their transfers last season before the papers picked them up. Chambers is one.

Looking at their forum, they like us so much and they are so happy with the 25m . 😆

Not sure how I feel about this tbh. Good player but not sure he is what we need. If it is done £25m seems a bit steep, something like £18m rising to that kind of figure I could accept. Schneiderlin is quoted to have said "Negotiations are ongoing and should be completed in the coming days, hopefully before the resumption of training next week". Looks like a deal may be close, who knows which club it is though!

Cech and Schneiderlin - it would appear that Wenger's priority is the defensive side of the squad this summer.

Bookies have slashed odds on Schneiderlin joining us. Not that it means anything but, lets face it, if you're trawling through Saintsweb, you'll cling on to anything!

Anyway, Schneiderlin himself has confirmed he's negotiating with another club according to French media - doesn't say which club though! Could very easily be United.

Hope for Reus died within me when Theo announced he is staying. We're not selling him or the Ox to accommodate Reus (no, he is not a PL ST).

We might bin Giroud though (as the Cup final showed), for The Benz!
