A proper rumour at last. It's been to long.

Really not the kind of midfielder i want us getting, but at least we'll have competition for coq

Yeah I wouldn't mind this guy or Camacho.

Not our style of DM at all, weird rumour which keeps popping up from time to time.

Is Krychowiak even the right central midfielder to get from Sevilla? Banega seems better suited for Arsenal, and Wenger tried to sign him in the past before all the injuries struck. Maybe we were at the game to have another look at him?

We were obviously looking at Barcelona's white Nzonzi.

I personally would not sign Banega. We can do better than have a layer with questionable work ethic and attitude.

banega is a fabulous talent but he's a bit too mercurial for my liking. he made over 40 apps for sevilla last year though, so at least his injuries seem to be behind him

If we were to spend money on a DM, I'd like it to be someone else than another Coquelin.

I'm happy as long as Coquelin has competition. He was brilliant last season because he was playing for his place. He wasn't great against WHU and I think we'll see more of that if he is allowed to become complacent about his first team spot.

Krychowiak is a really a superb DM to boot. People keep thinking he is some tough arse who only knows how to tackle but watching yesterday's game should tell you he can pass well, handle press well and is top midfielder. Not to mention he has a good shot and can play in defence as well.

I would be delighted if we get him.

Banega had a superb game yesterday too and is one of Sevilla's best players over the past season. But he is too soft and erratic for my liking. Plus we do not have space for someone like him for now.

If he is the only one we add before the window closes, i would be very disappointed.

And he would replace Szczesny for having a name no one can spell.

This is the type of signing we need to make. A very good player who can hopefully develop into a top class player in a position we are sorely lacking.

these days wenger doesn't know the kind of team or player he wants, he just knows the kind of player he doesn't want. we won't be signing him.

Luckily, since he knows the kind of player he doesn't want, the remaining players are the ones he wants. 🙂

That goes exactly for any good manager worth his salt, so where's the problem?

Krychowiak would be a terrific signing. Competition for Coquelin, and one more person between Flamini and the first team. He was also in the La Liga team of the season last year: http://www.laliga.es/en/news/the-201415-liga-bbva-ideal-xi

He was head and shoulders above the next best DM in La Liga last season. He was one of the first names in any team of the season for La Liga. He is very pacy, and is a beast in the air so would suit us very well.

According to @standardsport the Arsenal board think #AFC should sign Grzegorz Krychowiak but Wenger is not that keen on the player.

Krychowiak has told the Polish press this week that some offers are too hard to turn down. Has 30m Euro release clause.

He must be keen on someone though as he froze out Flamini.

I think we should Jeinny as well though.

Honorary physio just to take the piss out of Chelsea.

I agree with that, it's just that ideally I'd like the competition to be more of an Arteta-style DM so we'd have one of each. I'd still be very happy with Krychowiak.

If you wanted to compare him to someone I'd say Krychowiak is similar to Khedira, stronger defensively but less adventurous in attack. Ideally you'd have someone who can ping Xabi Alonso like passes as well but I wouldn't be against this signing at all, especially since we're still just one injury to Coquelin away to relying on Arteta or fucking Flamini.

Also we wouldn't need to play Giroud all the time just to have some height for set pieces.

any good manager worth his salt knows the kind of player he wants as well. we're just waiting around for class scraps to drop from the elite table and hoping that since they are class we'll figure out a way to make it work. that's why we have such a square peg round hole dilemma to our squad right now.

If AW is taking off Coquelin to bring on another attacking player then he's not likely to sign a player who is more like a Makalele styled DM.

If Wenger wants an upgrade on Coquelin I think he'll sign an upgrade on Coquelin and worry less about how they'll complement eachother on the rare occasion they're coming on as substitutes for eachother.
