I don't want Podolski to start but it'd be nice to see the choice De Gea makes when, with a recently re-set dislocated finger, he has to tip over a Podolski shot. Di Maria trained today and should be fine to start. Luke Shaw is a doubt. Falcao suffers another set back so he's out for another 2 weeks. £837bn very well spent. Annoyingly Carrick is fully fit or they might've had to field some proper crud to cover in front of their back 1. Sanchez should try to get him booked early and then keep playing one-twos with Smalling. Should have a free walk to their goal line if Carrick/Fletcher can't do their cynical stuff.

de gea and di maria are fit though, arguably their best performers this season. this will likely be a very tight game between two teams who aren't exactly buzzing with confidence. home crowd will have to pull the boys over the line.
