I see what you're saying, and probably the players will have such thoughts in the back of their heads. I wish they didn't, though.
Beating united became one of those things - this stuff that dried and we can't peel off. Like "we don't spend enough", we are killed in the big games, we lack ambition, we only fight for 4th, we don't react tactically - all the things you just feel you must break, demolish and extinguish if we are to finally get back to being a top team.
Every time we meet united and don't beat them something inside me dies. I don't even feel this way about spurs.
Of course I don't want to lose to them, but that's true in most games. In this particular case I feel like not winning is the worst, and only then comes drawing vs losing. It is the most grrrr game of the season to me.
