There's no sense of style to our play. I thought wenger was harvesting a way of playing but for years now it's been so patchy
Easiest way to tell how far we've fallen is through the quality of our football. We've got a midfield full of Samir Nasri's, who are good at holding on to the ball, but useless at creating and interchanging. The same Wenger methods that oversaw Henry and co., Fabregas and co., is also overseeing the current play. The clear difference is that we have been on a continuous regression since 2008, with the odd slight rise which was shortly followed by another dip. The players we have now are weaker than the players we had before. This is by far the biggest reason why we are cack. There's more hope than actual substance in regards to many of our players. Walcott, Oxlade, Wilshere to name a few.
I remember a time when Hleb, Rosicky and others had their critics, but those two shit all over our current crop of midfield geniuses.
I'm beginning to worry that going British will hurt us more than anything. Seems to me that certain players are only in the team because they are home grown. We're doing a Liverpool by going all British, and we may see the same results.
