The post match interviews show what scum Bayern are. Piqué praising Bayern for giving them a good and entertaining match while Lahm and Neuer say that they were level and only their own mistakes led to their loss
Basically all managers, even the truly great ones, need their best players available to beat quality opposition.
So with all their star forwards missing how come they didn't play golden boy Gotze?

Yep. Because players win football games, not managers.

Really wonder what Guardiola is doing with him.
That's not true Klaus, Mourinho regularly wins matches with his mind.
Controversial, Klaus 🙂
Damn right though.
Boateng for the second goal just gets funnier every time 😆
messi turned boateng into a pillar of salt. the poor bastard looked like he retired midfall
amazing that barca were imploding at the turn of the year, and are now on course for a double. as long as messi is in form, anything is possible for them
They wouldn't handicap themselves on purpose. Maybe he has been off form as they lost their previous 2 games including a semi-final that ended their hopes of a treble. Robben was the player they missed most as barca play Mascherano (a red card waiting to happen) in central defence.
Holy fuck Messi's second goal was just pure sex
Guardiola got it wrong, his team gets smashed far too often in the Champions league considering their relative quality.
That being said, had Messi not played, they'd have got a result tonight.

They are favourites for the triple at the moment.
Messi vs Boateng looked like Iverson in his prime and then he dinks the ball with his weaker foot over the best goalie in the world. Taking the piss out of the sport ffs

thought bayern were pretty good. 50-50 possession at camp nou is impressive, and they tried to play as positive as possible. the lack of robben, ribery, and alaba did them in. plus a dose of magic from messi.

Reminds me Thierry putting Carragher on his arse
Trying to play the sort of football Guardiola wants it's almost impossible to carry players, especially at this high level. Bayern just had 2-3 who were not quite up to it, but if the injured blokes had been available...a different story.
Boateng just gave a post match interview, looked like he needed a hug. They should have given him a blanket and some hot cocoa.
Great, great match to watch. Yesterday was a top notch game as well. I agree with your assessment there, Tim. I would have loved to have seen this game with Robbery on the pitch.
I just have no words...that second goal. wow.
Was great, no doubt, but the one he scored against us when he chipped it over Almunia was a cut above.
