Indeed, that'd be clear to anyone who asseses players in a reasonable way too. I was actually ok with the idea of Welbeck, simply for the reason that we need cover in that area now that Giroud's out.

Na, he's a MUCH better footballer than Sanogo and totally different. Welbeck's touch and short passing game is really very good, Sanogo's is pants.

2 goals in 40 games. I am sure Sturridge had a much better record than that.

Welbeck looked very promising when he broke through at Utd and during his loan spell at Sunderland. He has since stalled badly though but which young Utd player hasn't?
Welbeck's easily better than Bendtner, so in theory with him and Alexis we would have added to and upgraded our attack.
