I'd probably take Welbeck over Remy. He's 4 years younger. Much better link up play and pretty much similar pace. Plus having played on the wing so much over the years he'd have developed his all round game as well.
Should be doing much better by getting ready made quality players but we have to face it. We were never going to get Cavani or Falcao. Costa was always going to go Chelsea. Benzema was probably the best option but he never became available. Balotelli would have been ace but question marks over his attitude seem to have out Wenger off.
All in all Welbeck is a decent player, miles better than Sanogo, probably just as suited to our game as Giroud but with the pace to go in behind. Think he'll be a pretty astute signing to be honest. One of those you never expect to do well but somewhere along the way just explodes. Remember he's still only 23.
For me the big thing is whether we get a DM/CB or not. Still feel like we'll get something done but we'll have to see.
