Ozil and Alexis aren't in Falcao's class. Thinking we will sign players of this level is just foolish. We can think about it hypothetically but saying things like "I believe this will happen" is just naive. Not with Wenger at the helm.

Falcao isn't in a different class compared to Özil. Very few players are, and Falcao is not one of them. He's not going to end up at Arsenal, but there's nothing foolish about thinking we can buy players of his calibre.

Yeah, very strange comment that Claudius. The obvious two aside, there aren't too many bigger names in football than Ozil.

Özil was the signing we had no right to pull off. With him as pulling power and clear signs of continued squad investment (i.e. Alexis Sanchez) we can sign pretty much anyone on the market, as long as we can afford their wages.

Depends of you mean we couldn't get him because he's too good for us (which I don't agree with) or because Wenger is our manager and would rather gamble with an incomplete squad again instead of spunking some cash (which I do agree with)

That's exactly it. I believe we have no chance in signing Falcao simply because I don't think Wenger is interested. However, if we were to make a move and can afford the wages, as Klaus said, then I have no doubt we could pull of this signing. I think right now Arsenal is probably one of the more attractive clubs around Europe for players. We are certainly in better shape to attract the big names than we have been at any point in recent times.

There is a reason Falcao earns 2x Ozil and cost 50% more. He's a different class from an Ozil. Ozil is not even as good as Fabregas, who has come into Chelsea and got the machine humming immediately. Let's not delude ourselves here. Ozil isn't even our most important player. I'd give him up before I did Ramsey or Koscielny.

Yes. He's employed by Monaco (speaking of - how do you think they got hold of him?). It's also the reason he's still there.

You overrate Ozil. Very one dimensional player whose ultimate success is dependent on Wenger getting him a proper striker. Which makes the fact that we aren't getting even someone like Balotelli frustrating. We aren't going to get an ROI on Ozil by expecting him to feed Oxlade Chambelain, Sanogo, et al. He needs a Sterling or Aguero right in front of him - then we'll see a guaranteed 20 assists.
And even if Wenfer bags a striker, I'll still be pissed off that he's waited a month onto the season. Seriously.

search Ozil when you get a chance. Read all the articles by the broadsheets, including his own quotes. Hes been underwhelming, and I feel that Wenger is doing nothing to turn around his fortunes. It's deeply frustrating.

He, along with Ramsey, kept us top of the league longer than any other team last year. It's not Ozil that has been underwhelming, and people read the anti-Arsenal trash and actually believe it. What do quotes and broadsheets have to do with anything? Anyone can see for themselves that he's the most important player in our team, and a brilliant one at that.

im over debating ozil at this point. class player, but I don't think he's going to find another gear at Arsenal. We'll get another 3 years of what we got last season, and there will always be controversy about what his contributions are worth. his manager, teammates, and most gooners will be happy with what he offers. He won't be remembered as a premier league legend or great, due to the subtle nature of his game. The sooner people accept he's not a dominant player the better.

I like Ozil. Ozil is a terrific player, but Fabregas is clearly better.
