Bloke is a unit.
Had he been black he would have been a beast. 🙂
Looks to me like he could be a real powerhouse in a year or two with that speed he has as well.

Haven't seen much of him, but looking at that highlight video someone posted earlier, I can see why he's considered as a potential CB. Good in the tackle, tenacious, aerially superb, can play it out from defence.
don't know enough about him to say much, but i'm liking how proactive we've been. wenger's time to win the CL is ticking away, so hopefully he's going all in
If he was, then Cavani would be in Austria now...

Looking at your graphs, other than key passes and dribbling, Shaw is pretty much inferior at anything else?
Lol. Graphs.
Plenty of Southampton fans that I've read in the last 6 months or so have said that Chambers is the bigger talent, or at the very least comparable to Shaw.
Another great transfer from Arsene Wenger! Chambers will probably start and play as a centre-back against Manchester City in the Community Shield.
Good point, that make sense given Vermaelen is injured, Mertesacker won't be back.
The fee seems high to me. Although the transfer is comparable to Walcott and Ox in first team experience and fee, you'd expect a hyped attacking player to be more expensive. But, I trust Wenger and his team on signing youngsters. He rarely gets these fairly expensive youths wrong.

Prices are rising all round. English talent is at a premium. Shaw went for double Chambers price. Its a big price tag but if he comes good then it'll be well worth it.

I think so too. Shaw isn't at his level defensively plus I'd worry about his physical attributes when he loses that youthful energy and fills out
Chambers is so strong defensively. You won't out power him easily, he's reasonably fast but most importantly he has a good brain on him
Community Shield, I've missed that 🙂
Feels good to be back in that game again, right? There was a time when it was a fixture against Man U for us every year. 🙁
We've been forgetting something important. What's do you think of his hair Dules?

Is it Jenkinson trying to get in on the picture after being exiled to the seat in front of his old gang? But Chambo and Szczesny have a new best friend now and take the picture before Jenkinson can make a proper appearance. His life sure isn't easy right now.
It's Ramsey
