Charlie Adam can become the Liverpool metronome for the next 10 years, his defensive abilities combined with his excellent distribution mean that, under Dalglish, Adam can become the next in the line of excellent pivots, allowing the players around him to advance while maintaining an almost defensive position. All the while the deadly set piece option remains in the back pocket. After a long search Xabi Alonso may finally become a distant memory. Well, that went well.

Poor lad could have had a great career if he'd only been born black. Orchs just can't catch a break in Premier League.
Right Carvalho chat or I'm deleting. Start a race and ethnicity thread in general chat if you want. You crowd of insert race appropriate epithet here.

Can Carvalho play as a cb? Never seen him do that.
With Khedira practically ruled out, he looks the next best option unless someone like Martinez becomes available. However, I can't help feel we'll end up neglecting this position once again by opting for a cheaper option.
he's filled in there on a few occassions ala song. dont think he's played there much in the last 12 months though.
Meh, rather just play Flamini.

Asked a few Sporting fans and they said he has never played there. He was moved from number 10 back to a holding player.

It's interesting that pundits and fans alike seem to have dropped the "all we need to compete is to sign a striker" line in favour of the "sign a powerhouse defensive minded midfielder and we're complete" .
Do not rate this guy. Not worth 30 million euros by any measure.
Cause there are no concrete rumours about a striker and Wenger has said it many times we are not signing one.
James McNicholas know nuts about Willy. Nothing article.
It's a US based article. I saw that and didn't bother reading it

"AFC Academy @AFCAcademy While on loan at Cercle Brugge during the 12/13 season Carvalho played half his games at CB."
