Suarez's bite for me.
Practically sealed the Sanchez deal for us. :egg:
The one's I'll remember for years, and why I think this will be a well remembered world cup:
1) Suarez bite
2) James Rodriguez performance (especially vs Brazil)
3) Neymar injury and outrage
4) Germany's mauling of Brazil
5) Spain vs Netherlands - was lucky enough to attend this game and it was a classic.
In no particular order - Judas' header, Suarez' bite, Cahill's volley, Rodriguez' dreamy goal, Navas' goalkeeping
Sturridge v Italy.
1) Herrera's celebrations
2) Netherlands losing on penalties
3) USA and their fans
4) Ochoa, Navas.
Lewin fucking his ankle and having to be carried off is right up there in ridiculousness.
Aside from the great games and goals, the outstanding goalkeeping was my personal highlight. Neuer, Navas, Ochoa, Ospina and Bravo all stood out in particular.
Other stand out moments were the reaction from John Brooks when he realised he had scored the winner against Ghana (including the great piece of commentary on our coverage: "Corner to USA, can they find a winning goal?....YES THEY CAN!"), Herrera's celebrations against Croatia and Netherlands losing on penalties. Also the tears from the Brazilian players and fans - still feel guilty about how much I enjoyed it!
Australia v Netherlands, not the Cahill leveller but the Jedinak penalty, I thought- Holy fuck we might take something from this.
the best footballing moment was the van persie header. absolutely brilliant bit of improvisation. that was the goal of the world cup for me.
SuΓ‘rez munching Chiellini

Eh? It was just a simple diving header unchallenged with heaps of time.
Just because we don't see many of them nowadays.....
Back in the day as kids we used to do them on tarmac.....

No need to be bitter just because it's RVP, it was a stunning goal. Goal of the tournament for me.
I'm not bitter IG, I just thought it was an easy chance to bury, one on one acres of space.
Most others would say the Cahill or Rodrigez volleys or the Messi strike against Iran but you're entitled to your opinion.
Thought Cahill's was a regulation volley myself. Score those pretty often down the park.
Spains humiliation in the first game.
Gerrard costing his team yet again.
USAs almost comeback and their general excitingness.
Suarez bite and Liverpool fans still defending him only to see him fuck off to Barca a week later.
Yeah that was pretty funny.
Great World Cup.
I think Suarez's bite and Germany's blitzing (Sorry, couldn't resist!) of Brazil in that first half spell will be the abiding memory of this World Cup as none of the goals were out of this world and only us anoraks will remember much of the other stuff.
