We have seen how good Gimenez is in the world cup as well who didn't play much for Atleti.

The logic would be that Wenger doesn't really rate Jenkinson. That's hardly mental gymnastics.

I'd be very surprised if Jenkinson leaves. Think Wenger rates him, even if we don't.

Interesting signing if we make it, he's got less experience than Jenkinson. Jenkinson could well be our 4th CB next season. Not sure he'd be any good there but we barely needed Sagna at CB last season so we might chance it until January at least and then buy if we need to.

Jenks can learn to play all across the back four so over the coarse of a season he'll get plenty of games filling in as back up.
