Geoff said like over a month ago, that we're signing Vidal btw. Would match Felers info that a deal has been in place verbally for a while.

One thing I don't understand is why would we even be in for Schneiderlin if we already had Vidal wrapped up? Makes no sense unless Wenger wanted both which is highly unlikely.
That's the thing - Schneidis agent and media have been name dropping us for a few years. We dont know how "in" we actually were.

Yes because he was great as a defensive mid for Bayer. That was when he caught my eye but we didnt pursue him at that time.

This. When Vidal came through at Leverkusen he played CB a good few times. He's not 80+ in every position bar GK on FIFA for no reason, only player I can compare him to in terms of his flexibility is Yaya Touré.

Vidal would be great news. In addition to giving us matchday quality, he would be an excellent (on pitch) example for Wilshere and Ramsey. We have brought up too many of our players without the requisite experience in front of them. I think it's damaged Szczesny, Gibbs, Wilshere and all the guys we've been releasing for the last 2 seasons. Vidal is a midfield dynamo.
