I have mentioned it before but Di Maria really have one of the best delivery in the world, can't think of many others that are better, maybe Bale. (ignore the top 2 obviously).

I know that, that's what we're discussing. Boards like this tend to be more interesting when people don't agree about everything. It seemed to me like you said the reason there's no way United can finish ahead of us is that they're worse than us in defence. I answered with the fact that someone much worse than us in defence finished above us last season. And now you say "Fine, just believe what you want." Not my opinion of good discussion technique, but I'm no expert, whatever floats your boat etc.

That game wasn't the turning point. In the Palace game they had this (what now seems like) deluded idea that they could win the title on goal difference. So at 3-0 and 3-1 they were still throwing everyone forward.

Chelsea game was the killer where again their optimism thought they should win the game when a draw would've been enough. That reckless positivity was the key to why they did so well in the title challenge but also the downfall.

I am afraid of United as well. You can't say their firepower isn't impressive. The more points they drop now the better because Van Gaal's team ALWAYS finishes well. When you are that good in attack and midfield your defence wouldn't really matter because you would pin so many teams back. Our defence is as vulnerable as anyone thanks to our system of being so open, full backs pushed high up with no defensive mid protecting.

If we can hold on against the big teams till January when we get a proper midfielder, we can challenge for the title. United will be in the mix too definitely.

Yeah I know, my Gerrard comment was about his slip. Didn't make myself clear. It was so easy for them to get a draw at Anfield too because Chelsea had no intention to attack. Criminal by Rodgers to not do his math properly, the rest of their games are free 3 points. Hope they go another 20 years without a title and look back at that moment.

Are you saying that the discussion should have continued because I should accept Liverpool last season as a template for United this season?
