So we and Manu have played half a season, + Southhampton and Stoke, and have our injured players returning, whilst being one point and one goal apart. This is going to be tight again. It will be interesting to see what comes in for both clubs over January. Debuchy going down, maybe a blessing in disguise forcing Wengers hand to add the CB. Even though he's indicated he would anyway.
If he does want Schneiderlin, Southhampton's current position has surely cemented that into a summer transfer, and absolutely not January. But if Southhampton did hold a top 4 spot, which looks more and more possible, would they be the same selling club, with a Champions League spot, and would Schneiderlin be so keen to move with them having that spot.
Schneiderlin and Coquelin as back up could be a nice replacement for Flamini and Arteta for me.
It's a shame to be in a postiton to want to start seeing Southhampton fail, I'd gladly see Manu be the one to drop out. I want to say I can't realistically see that happening, but I have no idea what is realistic nowadays.
