I don't think he was 'better' than Ozil, but i personally had more connect with him than i have with Ozil.
Though i have no doubts about Ozil's capability. I feel once he feels settled and confident we will see his true worth

Biggus wrote:Do you mean theres barely anything between the two other than the fact that Ozil couldn't score in a brothel Rohit?
No, I don't mean that, because that is a figment of your imagination.
Cesc Fabregas has 76 goals in 399 appearances in club and international football.
Mesut Ozil has 55 goals in 292 appearances in club and international football.
It equates to a goal every 5.25 matches for Cesc and a goal every 5.309 matches for Ozil. Neither can score in a brothel it seems then.
Certainly he doesn't look as confident in front of goal but it's easy to forget how poor Cesc was in the same aspect before taking off.
All that aside, foolish to judge him on goals he scores anyways. He needs to contribute when he gets into position but he has some incredible qualities that are far more important.
He had a good first season in the Premiership. Like I said, Cesc was groomed here. Ozil struggled with the physicality obviously like most players would but I am sure he will only get better and so will the team because of it.
Brazil don't play entertaining football and haven't done for years
Rohit wrote:Mesut Ozil has 55 goals in 292 appearances in club and international football.
Not for us he hasn't.
Well, Cesc had 35 goals for us in 212 appearances, equates to one goal every 6 matches.
Mesut, 5 goals in 26 appearances for Arsenal, equals one goals every 5.2 matches in his first season in English football.
LoLs won't make your claims any more credible.
No one has denied that he can do more and I am sure he will but there is nothing between Fabregas and Ozil.
We've got Mesut Ozil, we've got Mesut Ozil.

How awful is Özil?
For £40m you'd expect him to at least manage 292 games in one season here
When Biggus has an agenda reason and facts are pointless, Rohit; there is no getting through to that world which is hidden to the rest of us. Just have to accept and embrace the man with his positives AND his flaws.
Messi's become a lazy player in the last 18 months.

Incredibly lazy, I was shocked when I saw him live.
Funny that's the time since when Dr. Fuentes is banned.
If you saw football for the first time and had no idea who Messi and Ronaldo were, you'd think neither of them actually liked playing football; one of them mostly slowly jogs around with his head bent down looking utterly disinterested, and the other one mostly looks annoyed throwing his hands in the air and having fits.

Its funny Rex-
And this and this mind you, in the controversial football opinion thread where everyone gets to be Biggus for a day.
It's a bit like Mardi Gras where you can free yourself from the normal constraints that you would be fearful to reveal and are considered too risque or libertine for the rest of the year.
So it truly is ironic everyone else has "a controversial opinion" here but I have an "agenda" for posting exactly as I do for the other 364 days a year.
Biggie you live entirely in your own imagination don't you.
No I assure Biggus is real enough.
But if he didn't exist it would still be necessary to invent him.
Messi looks to be on the wane physically
The Bayern boys are on the same stuff the Barca and Real Madrid boys are on.
How do you mean Dula?
Vincent Kompany is actually a bit shit.
Not controversial Ricky. He's overrated because he's a nice guy.
He's constantly talked up as one of the best; by fans and pundits. Don't think he's one of the best by any stretch, and I think even the best centrebacks around at the moment are light years behind the best centrebacks of the last decade or so. I miss the 30-something, wise old head, that could read the game like a book and make all the players around him play better. There's just no one these days.
There's always Barzagli. You should watch more Serie A, Ricks.
He's the one that stood out for me actually. Enjoyed watching him. Even he's not a patch on the Italian defenders before him though.

Game is too physical/athletic for that now.
Shite isn't it. You're gonna get guys like paulinho, Ron Vlaar or Bruno Martins Indi gonna win the World Cup
Is basically a bunch of athletes running about. Those who run hardest and longest tend to prosper
I agree with Dules on Messi; he looks to have lost half a step since coming back from his injuries the last 18 months.
Is still magical though, just picks his moments. I don't know if that is because he is pacing himself through the game or is playing with a sense of entitlement.

This seems to happen mostly when he plays for the national team though, and I think part of the issue is that Argentina are so simple. Di Maria will run up and down the flank for 90 minutes and that's pretty much as advanced as their combination play will get. There's no real connection between the midfield and the attack unless Messi takes it upon himself to drop deep and perform that role, but then he won't be up front where he should be of course.
They are a far cry from the side that scored this goal:

Per is 29
Per is one of the few, he's a proper defender that understands his position. I think it's his lack of mobility that makes me think I'm being a little biased when I think of him as one of the very best though.

That goal is a thing of stunning beauty, loved it then, love it now.
Argentina can certainly pass it better, they are all above average footballers. They just don't have that combination play though. Too many individuals trying to do too much. They will be a much better team if they get some team effort into their attack as they will isolate individual players from the opposition against Messi much more.
Sami Khedira really isn't a very good footballer.
That claim is so controversial that you could even say it's untrue.
Khedira's the wrong type of midfielder to sign. Ramsey's our best player - we should be getting a partner who lets him do his thang as best as possible.
Ramsey shouldn't be our best player though. So we shouldn't build our side around him.
The right kind of player is the best footballer. Great players allow for greater tactical flexibility, and they don't create situations where you'd say "if only the ball had gone to so-and-so instead of this guy". Schneiderlin, from what I've seen, is decent at what he does, but is a far inferior player to Khedira at this moment in time. Khedira would be a much better signing in every possible way.

What a goal! Seriously, Argentina need to get back to this level! Woof!
City are a breath of fresh air for PL footy.
Football is overrated.
Overrated means nothing when used in relation to anything football related.
