Yep. Kos is obviously better than those 2 but I completely understand Deschamps position of not playing him because his performance for France just doesn't deserve it. He came on against Switzerland and was at fault for 2 goals as well, be it consolation or not. Deschamps is quite a great motivator of a coach, what he did with France this tournament is respectable. Don't forget he is without his best player. Imagine Argentina without Messi.

What? Was it Kos who made that giant hole in the wall on that free kick? The other goal was clearly Debuchy's fault.

Kos wasn't at fault for any of the goals vs the Swiss. What you on about Clarence?

If I am not wrong, French media was reporting it and I remembered going back to the match to verify it. Conceded a freekick that led to the goal and missed his interception for the 2nd goal no?

Anyway

Sign Bebuchy for experience and sign aurier as well. get rid of fenkinso, either on loan or as a deal.

Ut shouldn't even be a dangerous free kick. The wall opened itself like that sea Moses crossed. On the second goal, all of the defenders held the line except for Desuckhy, who played the Swiss guy onside. This made Kos look a little stupid, but all he did was really trying to correct Debuchy's mistake. Just see for yourself. He didn't miss, he wasn't quick enough to catch a guy who was supposed to be offside.

I'd be really happy with Debuchy. He looks a good proper fullback whenever I see him. Does well for France and has had a couple of great games against us, especially this season at St James', and he's played very well against the likes of City and Chelsea in the last 18 months.

Was expecting us to sign some flake like Aurier who'd probably turn out to be totally useless.

Agree. He's a real professional. Looks to have a good attitude too. Spicey when he needs to be and looks confident yet sensible

Will provide some eye candy for Goonerettes too

i liked the idea of aurier, but i've always like the idea of bellerin being our right back of the future more and debuchy doesn't interfere with that prospect.

If Bellerin was any good he would be either playing for us or starting somewhere on loan.

Yep. That he's still behind Jenks speaks volumes.

He was starting for Leeds last year on loan.

wow so a fullback has to be playing for arsenal at 18 (he didn't turn 19 until mid march) or else he's not any good. you learn something new all the time.

jenko (22) has more of the physical tools to get by at this stage. bellerin is still developing physically. and he did go on loan to watford and was starting until zola was fired, then he came back to arsenal.

Well the few times I've seen Bellerin I've never been convinced.

And Gibbs had few games for us at Bellerins age and he was no physical specimen at the time. Is it worth signing an average full back to not block a sub-Gibbs level right back? I don't think so.

He'll have to get used to that. 🙁

Thinking about this just makes me annoyed again. Don't like the rumour section at all right now. We're probably done making prolific signings after Debuchy and Sanchez, and neither player is what we needed back in June.

Sanchez is a top signing and exactly what we needed all of last season, and Debuchy is a solid signing.

We needed a striker and a central midfielder last season. Next season will be a wash too if we don't get them.

Alexis is a striker and our mighty Bac has signed for City. I'd have preferred to keep Sagna, which I think I have made perfectly clear throughout the season, but it is hardly a catastrophe to sign the player who is ahead of him in the French squad.
