Why does every single top player gets labelled a bottler or as someone who can't do it when the chips are down? Ibrahimovic, Zidane, Suarez, Totti, Ozil, Henry and the list goes on.
Benzema has scored big goals at crucial moments throughout his career. Most recently his goal in the CL semis against Bayern. You'd struggle to find many footballers with better record in the CL - the highest level in football IMO. I remember him terrorising Vidic-Ferdinand (best partnership in Europe at the time) at Old Trafford few seasons ago and scored an outstanding goal.
I'd say he has been one of the most impressive strikers in the tournament so far despite not being at his best last night. He has been a joy to watch with his deft touches, impressive link up play and passing. Deschamps should stop playing him out of position.
