A bunch of Brazilian sources are reporting that we're interested in Rodrigo Caio, a CM/CB/RB from Sao Paolo. This seems like the first link so far that might be legit. Here's what I posted in the wishlist thread:

AFC are signing #spfc defensive mid Rodrigo Caio voted best player at Toulon. Wenger in Sao Paulo yesterday

For what it's worth, this guy was rated as the 7th best player in the Brazilian league by whoscored's algorithm last season as a 19 year old CB.

And here's a match comp of him playing in midfield:

He looks like a super talent tbh.

I agree. I don't know much about him other than him winning Toulon player of the tournament at CM, him being rated really highly by whoscored at CB, and him receiving national attention for a great performance against Neymar at RB, but that video makes him seem like he's potentially a better player than Illara who Madrid paid a fortune for.

Wouldn't he have visa problems?

He is apparently planning to apply for Italian citizenship. He is eligible for it and has all of the paperwork in place.

Imagine if Wenger manages to pick up a few players doing his commentary tour. What a boss!

I'm guessing wenger was in sao paulo as part of his summer moonlighting on french TV.

That video of this kid makes him look very meh for me. Tackled ok, but failed to pass over 10 yards will any success.

If we are in for a young CM, go get rabiot. He is the most talented CM in his age bracket and is seemingly looking for a way out of PSG.
