Koeman tweeted a picture of an empty pitch with the text "ready for training" 😆 Probably just an accidental joke.\, but still fun.

I actually feel really, really sorry for the guy; he signs up for a job, knowing his new team isn't world class or anything, but has quite a few interesting, talented youngsters. Two months later he is stuck with Clyne.

haha i hope koeman was trying to be funny. i'm surprised he hasn't resigned, actually.

Actually im quite sure they are getting in £5-10m replacements for all those £10-£25m leavers, not lose that much in quality but walking away with a decent amount of cash to pay all the debts they had. They have great academy and great scouting system in place. Obvious problem is getting them all to gel, but im sure they would accept simply a survival for next season.

owner died, his clueless daughter is in charge, and she wants to get rid of all the debt so she can sell the team and make $$$. think that's why cortese left last yr, pochettino left this yr, and all the players were sold. schneiderlin's gonna go, and jay rodriguez and fonte might be, as well. they're going to struggle to stay up. feel bad for the supporters.

Yeah, more than anything I too feel sorry for the supporters. What seems to be happening here is to me one of the dangers of England allowing foreign ownership to the extent that it has. This could theoretically happen to a whole string of EPL clubs; the current owner dies/loses interest and decides to strip the club of its assets and just sell what's left of the carcass. When there is no emotional investment on the part of the owner, then there is potential for trouble.

For instance, if Abramovich died today and whoever inherits Chelsea decides to make the club pay back the 'loans' he has provided them with over the years, they would go bankrupt in months.

Unfortunately with him we will not be that lucky im afraid. His son seems very interested in being an owner of a football club, his daddy even bought him one to practice on.

Whats with all the sympathy for Southampton?
In a few years they'll have uncovered more gems and can polish them up for sale as they always do.

I don't want them to get relegated though. They're a proper club.

They've still got Wanyama. He'll keep them up.

Should probably just get him right away. 🙂 All from his eleven first professional matches.

Is that the kid Kel was raving about last season?

Meh. Bitter man is bitter.

He didn't play for the first team last season, so I'm guessing he was raving about Cardiff's Møller Dæhli maybe? He's pretty good, but most Norwegians agree that Ødegaard has more potential than any other Norwegian player. I don't think there are many 15 year olds in Europe better than him.

That's the one. The former Man United kid.

What's happening to Norwegian football? Is there a new generation of interesting players coming through in the next few years? Any particular reason why?

He is only 15?! That is certainly a kid we should try to sign! In that vid he holds off challenges from grown men, he shoots well, seems to have really good vision and execution with his final ball, and he looks cool as a cucumber when finishing.

Don't think so to be honest. Probably more so than today, but not good enough. I think it must be decades since our league was of as low quality as it is now. Most clubs don't focus enough on developing players, and youth football in Norway is generally under a lot of criticism. Ødegaard and Dæhli are exceptions rather than the norm.

Wenger proved Mourinho wrong last season by winning. Mourinho has changed his tune.

But Wenger does need to win the league now.

Needs to bulk up etc

This guy plays very similar to Daehli for me. Looks like a massive talent though, to be able to play against all the grown ups at just 15 and look like the best player on the pitch.

Didn't Cardiff sign another supposedly good Norway kid? Eikrem or something right?

Eikrem is 23 and got five games for Cardiff in six months last season. Looked lost in all of them. Solskjær probably signed him because they were at Molde together, but he'll never amount to something of note.

😆 Love Ibrahamovic. Wish he played in the Premier league

Better than Eto'o, not quite as good as Henry.

Henry in his pomp could have scored 50 PL goals in a season I reckon. He had just needed to be as greedy as Suarez.

The difference for me is that Henry and Ibra can create a goal from very little, while Eto'o relied on service. That's not to take anything away from Eto'o....his pace opened up so much for others to play in and create.

Pepe proving what a low-life plankton he is.

pepe's a piece of shit. should prob be sterilised so as not to taint the gene pool. no control over his emotions and is a racist simpleton.

Is it because of the Barcelona connection?

Apparently Pepe called Keita a monkey in a 2011 el classico match.

Yup and Pepe is the one spitting at Keita after being ignored.
Hope Suarez bites him next el-classico.

You are not the only one hoping for that...

Runs a good website though.
