Belgium should walk this, on paper, but so far their team is lesser than the sum of their parts.

belgians have a sick team on paper, but i get the feeling it might not gel on the pitch. we'll see.

pulling for the koreans to qualify, obviously. shouldn't be a horrible team with son heung-min, ki seung-yong, lee chung-yong and koo ja-cheul. not sure if park chu-young made the squad, i think wenger ruined him.

Does the South Korean team still have players with insane stamina levels or was it just that generation?

I think South Korea or Russia will top this one personally. It's harder than it looks. Not sure Belgium will even advance from the group stage. Bookies overrate them massively for some reason and I think it will screw up a lot of bets. They have a couple of good individual players but they don't fit together great, and the national team has a history of underperforming. They're up against an interesting Korean side here, and Russia always have a lot of quality.

Russia usually have good players but are surprisingly flaky and Algeria are always shit so it's Belgium and South Korea for me.

Came across this article earlier on the Guardian's website. Interesting insight into how the Belgiums have gone about producing this generation of quality footballers.

Belgium will probably top the group after all. I still don't think they will go very far.

Not sure how Korea will do this time. Don't seem to have the right form going into the tournament and players/coach seems to be weaker than normal. Hong did well 2 years ago in Olympics though so it remains to be seen.
