France actually have 3 very similar players in the middle. All 3 are very complete box to box CMs, who can do almost anything.
Matiudi can't pass or shoot. Not very well anyway. Cabaye can pass and shoot but can't really run and certainly isn't notably athletic. That's why he's chosen to sit in front of the back 4.
Pogba definitely fits your description of a complete, box-to-box centre midfielder though. Love him.
What I meant was they are all very similar box to box midfielders, not focusing on their strengths and weakness. In these days, its weird for a team to play 3 similar players in the middle and hard to achieve balance with it. Most teams have a dedicated pivot/sitter, and a number 10 in the middle trio.
Cabaye is the unfortunate player to sacrifice for the team and play the Arteta role it seems for France.
Meanwhile, Wenger is praising Griezmann so much on TF1 commentary duties.
