I don't suppose he's off to West Brom.
Behold our new striker then?

Why would a player's presence at a game mean he's signing for one of the 2 clubs ?

Because it's May 4th.
We're allegedly activating Vela's release clause as well.
Giroud + Remy + Vela
Hmmm.
Only if they're hungry for success.
Don't want any troublemaking slackers.

As Sam Allardyce pointed out, Arsenal wouldn't be so stupid to let him sit in the director's box for jokes or to simply drive up his price.

Nowhere near good enough to win the champions league. Probably nowhere near good enough to win the premier league. Ugh.

Players from other clubs who come to watch us play are usually offered seats in the director's box, no?

I know.
Just turning the idea over in my mind, wondering if it could work.

We needed him this year, and we'll need someone better next year

He's a good replacement for Giroud though. Maybe there really is something to the Atletico rumours? Everyone expects Costa and Torres to be the swap deal of the summer. It would be funny if it were Costa and Giroud instead.

As a wide player Remy is ok, starting central striker, no. We need a 24/25 league goals a season for that spot. Ideally Falcao.

He wouldn't be in the box as a potential signing unless a deal was done, and as we've all seen Newcastle are not ones to keep things quiet.

i'd sign him up tomorrow (or agree a deal in principle), and then go in search of a Cavani/Costa type. bird in the hand

I'd rather Vela if we're signing one of these guys.

Get them both. Dump Bendntner and give Sanogo to Roberto Martinez for the summer

What would Newcastle know about it?

Anyway I don't buy the idea that we're signing him just because he was in the directors box. I don't think he's good enough to be our starting striker either.

He's a QPR player.

Not sure him being at the game means too much - however, who knows. Think he is definitely on the shortlist though.

Would be incredibly underwhelming signing, but would offer more than Bendtner has this year, so would make us stronger.

He has the pace we have been lacking, premiership experience and gets a decent number of goals.

Think we need to come to terms with getting someone of this ilk instead of a Cavani, Costa, Benzema.

Hopefully he could be supplemented by a quality wide/attacking player (Griezmann/Draxler/Drmic). If so, I could live with that.

Think people might be reading too much into him being there.

Like I've said before, as backup I'd take him but need to do better for our first choice striker.

Na it's a footballing thing the players hate but it's to get the fans onside. He has an agreement with us.

If we were negotiating with him there would never be such an overt sign of it. Its not how we do business.

Arsene asked about Remy: "I didn't invite him - I hope he paid for his ticket!"

😆

I missed the game, heard he was with an arsenal official but he was just in the fans area ?

Wengers been on fire recently seems happy again.

Yeah spot on. Have we ever done anything like that? If anything it shows we're not getting him.

Goetze and Draxler were spotted at games before we bid for them I think.

Kalou was spotted at Heathrow in January. Make of that what you will. #mrX #itk

Incredibly unambitious. If we want to reach the top, don't aim for mediocrity.

Could you please name the Arsenal strikeforce.

With Theo out I think Remy would be a useful addition to our attacking options. Not exactly an earth-shattering signing but could be effective if we've better luck with the fitness of Ozil, Ramsey and/or Wilshere next season.

This would only make sense if Giroud wants to leave.

Although saying that, not sure we're gonna have much of a selection of strikers this summer.

😆 It's funny cos Wenger is stingy.
