Cannot put my finger on it and i can't even say it's playing with CRonaldo as he has been pretty shit everytime i've watched France.
edit: wouldn't turn him down if the opportunity arose as he is better than Cavani and Giroud.

In fairness, everyone looks shit playing for France.

Except Valbuena.

Cavani would be a good fit here too. His movement in the box is fantastic

his career high was in 11-12.. cavani outscored him by a pretty wide margin last season...

eh.. we'll see if we get either of them

I mean career high as in he's never been better than he is right now, not career high as in goal output.

Cavani is the only signing that makes sense. PSG have bought Di Maria who replaces him, whilst Zlatan remains up front.

Benzema makes no sense unless Real sign a new attacker.

Cavani's work rate would suite the PL really well. He and Alexis up front would shame the lazy fuckers that make up the rest of this team.

Madrid are signing Reus.

Is Reus injured currently? He wasn't in the Dortmund squad tonight for their EL qualifier...

Head coach Thomas Tuchel said at his prematch news conference on Wednesday: "It was our choice to rest Marco. It's a precautionary measure from experience."

In my experience you don't want to play players before €50m transfers, as a precautionary measure.

Ooooo that's encouraging

According to Jeinny, Henry got Benzema sold on Arsenal.

Also, she's now rooting for Arsenal to win Premier League because our fans are so nice online. This is novelty ITK:ing. We were in such a bad relationship with John Cross for years that we forgot how good it could be.

Tbf John Cross never wore a crop top.

Although to be fair to Cross, I'm not sure that would have worked in his favour anyway.

jeinny has lost her mind in the last week or so. she's thrown out lewan, reus, and pogba as real's targets. and also backed that by saying isco is guaranteed a shirt, which doesn't even add up if real sign another attacker. and been re-tweeting every dodgy twitter handle who repeats her 'intel'.

if she wasn't so damn cheerful i'd put her in the tancredi palmeri hall of ITK shame

i like that she RTs random accounts that have like 200 followers when the person says something she believes

I havent said much during this Benzema circle jerk..  but you are not the only one to feel this way.

that said, i disagree with your edit..  I honestly dont see Benzema being any better than Cavani..   less goals in a team that scores boatloads more goals than teams cavani has played for..  as for giroud, ok, maybe.   but i agree i wouldnt turn him down..  just dont think he's the all THAT special

Thirded. If it's Benzema or nothing (/Welbeck), then of course I'd take Benzema, but I've never been thoroughly convinced by the Frenchman.

We're not going to sign Thierry Henry, we need to get past that.

"People know that you have the resources and they want you to buy players from clubs who do not need your resources and who are not necessarily prepared to sell."

Basically Real don't want to sell Benzema.

So move on and buy someone else.

Yup...time to close this up.

on expecting a signing…
Wenger: I expect like you but at the moment we are not close.

Wenger: When you want to buy something you go to see the owner and if he doesn’t want to sell, he doesn’t want to sell. You cannot buy. In our job it is exactly like that. When the players are not free you cannot buy them because it’s the club who decides, the person who owns the contract who decides.

Real will not sell Benzema, it was clear all along.

Impossible. Real Madrid are the only club we're allowed to buy players from now when we have some money.

Hah, Wenger parrots back what I've said before. How much money you have is irrelevant after a certain point. The two bigger factors are whether the club wants to sell and if the player wants to leave.

Who are the other options?

Aubameyang? He doesn't look possible, either.
Lacazette?

I'm not the one who's being paid millions to scout players and strengthen the team. Clubs all around us both in the league and Europe have signed players throughout the summer, and you think it's impossible for Arsenal to make a signing that improves us?

You can only sign free agents, otherwise its impossible, players just aren't available.

wait is that reus thing real or was it a photoshop

It's fucking ridiculous we are like the only club in the world that follows rules by the book. When someone say they are not available, we just give up without a fight. We will only go for players that are available.

What are we? Some 2nd rate club?

We don't, we're just not dicks about it. Neither are most clubs.

Compared to Real Madrid? Unfortunately yes.

I find all this recent hysteria a bit funny. City signing a couple of players really brought up the inferiority complex in some. Their best players are still Agüero and Toure. At the end of the day, those are the players that will make a difference over the league season. Take those two away and you got a team of De Bruynes, Sterlings and Fernandinhos- comparable to ours.

Adding the likes of Higuain, Aubameyang, Schneiderlin etc. isn't going to take us any closer to City or the title, because they still have Agüero and Toure. Those are the level of players we need to add to our squad and it looks like that's what we're trying to do with Benzema(and have done with Cech, Alexis and Özil).

And Silva.

We're all scouts these days. It's 2015. You can download an entire seasons worth of matches for most clubs. Long gone are the days where players are hidden in obscure places.

What striker can we sign?

No, we're not. And we're not being paid to make these deals happen.

You're evading my question to make your straw man point though, so I'll ask again: we have eleven players in the team. Do you honestly think it's impossible for a club like Arsenal to sign anyone that could improve us without having to pester Real Madrid on the off chance that they will sell us some superfluous player?

I think we only lack a striker. A striker of Cavani or Benzema's quality. Anyone other than that is not good enough and a waste of time.

Maybe if you have no life.
