My bad mate. I meant no offence. I originally posted right after the game and thought you knew it was done with my tongue firmly in cheek the way you responded you didn't even know there was a game.

The prawn sandwich brigade bit was specifically mocking Keane's nonsensical comment moaning about the fans who used to come support him and his team way back when. As you may or may not be away, I myself have been in club level myself a number of times over the last 2 or 3 seasons as I've mentioned in the past, so I'm part of the same brigade.

RocktheCasbah lost my voice too. My lot were doing our part as much as we could, but you know how hard it is to get the majority to join in. We were in Club Level above the scummy away fans who kept lobbing bottles of water up.

Atmosphere was electric pre kick off and then the early goal just killed everything but it was more the fact that we couldn't get any sort of a foothold in the game and only really had the Martinelli and Trossard chances. Just a very flat night but it certainly was weird.

Big Willie no worries Willie, was a bit of a "I've just woken up" response to your post so maybe grumpier than I intended. Apols.

As I'm sure you'll know, having done it yourself, I just wanted to be there on Tuesday and, this may - as I think I said before - be a bit of a once in a lifetime thing in terms of being able to spend the sort of money it cost and really not have to worry about it. I also feel like, at least where I was, there were a lot of people who did similar. Those people may not have been season ticket holders, but they were definitely fans.

Did I enjoy the experience? Yes, absolutely, but I would have enjoyed it a fuck load more if we'd won. And I made sure I contributed to it too.

RocktheCasbah all good man. I know whay you mean. I'm not a season ticket holder and I try to go to whatever games I can get my hands on tickets for anytime I'm back.

Btw did you splurge for a really high bospitality package rather than the standard on that comes with free drinks and stuff? Don't think I ever had a full meal, tours etc included in my purchases.

There are a few tickets on the Exchange for Bournemouth on a Saturday night. Was tempted, but then I clocked it's Saturday evening and I've already got dinner plans.

Big Willie it was the Academy+ package, so there was one package that was cheaper, but I chose this one on the basis that the seats were halfway line, or midfield (as it turned out, midfield) and if I was gonna spend the money, then get that view. There were definitely other packages available, even some boxes I think.

How does the away scheme work for tickets these days? Used to be relatively easy to get tickets for the likes of Newcastle, Sunderland, sometimes Manchester away because it was paper tickets and the member got the credit if they bought the ticket and I went. I lost my contacts for that, then Newcastle got the oil money and Sunderland faded to obscurity.

Anybody know if it's likely or possible to still get tickets like that?

I got a paper ticket off James uncle to go to Crystal Palace last season, but I think they've generally tightened up procedures and in some cases you have to collect from the box office at the ground and have photo ID. That's what I've heard anyway.

Nice one man, hopefully one of the guys on here take it up. Unfortunately I'm not in London. Lemme know if you manage any spares end of Jan/Feb as that'll be the next time I'm around.
