If the two suggested approaches above don't tickle your fancy, I'd also vouch for the below approach Qwiss mentions. Its like 40 pounds for annual red membership card? Then as long its not a high profile fixture against a top 6 team, you should have a pretty good chance.

Demand can vary. At the start of the season with a lot of brand new signings I'd recommend logging in at the time tickets are released if you want two seats together.

Definitely get online as soon as they're out. I've never missed out on a match that wasn't really high profile doing that and I'd booked flights and accommodation before they went on sale. I've also gotten packages before that included club level and accommodation from private companies but it works out quite a bit more expensive than just getting a ticket, red membership and a hotel yourself. Limited options on the hotels too, usually a Premier Inn or whatever. Not somewhere I'd take the missus, ok with one of the lads.

Buying tickets has become so hard at the moment. Had to log in 15 mins early, got placed in a 30 min queue and then after getting in found it all sold out (for two tickets). Had to refresh for another 15 mins to get lucky.

Leicester. I guess it's the first home game of the season and actually a really good game for a Sat, 3pm KO. But last season finished much the same way, had problems getting tickets for Leeds too. The platform stinks too if you ask me.

Yeah its horrible. Thats annoying about tickets, really awkward to book flights after you get tickets, cost a lot more.

Yeah, James got two tickets for us for the Leicester game, he said it was an absolute nightmare - and when I logged in, I could see why. What an absolute nightmare, what have they done?

I mean, I don't think the old system was perfect, but it was pretty simple and easy to use, this new portal is an absolute howler - they can't have user tested it otherwise it would never have gone live.

Problem for me is that I'm only a red member so for me to piggy back on the kids' JG membership I need to call into the box office at 10am. Ofc at 9:56 someone in the office rings me to discuss something so by the time I call at 10:01 there's no hope getting on the queue to what I assume is a couple of blokes manning the phones.

Ohhh, fucking hell, that's tough.

It's nuts having a silver membership and seeing how difficult it is to get tickets now. There weren't many times I had a red membership and didn't get tickets when they went on sale. I mean, of course they were much more expensive, but they were gettable.

I feel totally hopeless with this as a red member. No strategy, I just log on to eticketing once a day. If any tips, certainly welcome them!

Are you going just buying for yourself?

If so you should be able to get a ticket, especially if you don't mind the more expensive upper tier tickets. Just have to log in early enough (I'd say at least 9:30 on the day of release). Same approach if you're trying to buy more than 1 but it may be considerably harder and you might have to queue earlier. Also a tip, don't try to select specific seats because it will never work, just pick a section and take whatever they give you.

You also have a half decent chance of finding something on ticket exchange on the day of release or even on match day.

Think ticket demand has gone through the roof, a lot of optimism back at the club which also drives demand!
