Worth taking a look at the 2011 awful Birmingham side who got relegated. All of them were shit as well but...

To be honest, that is not enough an excuse to lose to Brum. Arshavin wasn't shit at that point, Djourou was great against Barca a few weeks before that. And we had many world class players on the pitch other than those you mentioned.

There's no excuse. We lost in the most pathetic way because the players didn't perform.

It's rarely mentioned, but we actually should have been down to 10 men in the first 5 minutes of that final. A Birmingham player was wrongly judged to be offside after going one on one against Szczesny and being brought down. Clichy had played the player onside.

Anyway, I'm very nervous about this game. There's an assumption that we'll end the season with fourth and a trophy, but we could lose this game. And just imagine what a disaster that would be, and what a horrible feeling it would leave everyone with for the summer. Scary.

The players better show up.
