Would put some money on Arteta being a PL manager in 10 years time.
Would put even more money on Arteta being the best looking PL manager in 10 years time.

He'll be a great coach at the very least. if you've listened to and watched our players since he signed its been clear. I remember an interview with Jack when Vermaelen was still captain where he called Arteta a great captain and had to correct himself. He's a natural leader and a really smart player who can impart a lot of wisdom, especially about playing in England.
Think Arteta will make a really good manager. I'd also bet his hair looks exactly the same a decade down the road.
Hope he plans to retire in the summer to become a coach here.
I recon he'd get on ok for another year if he dropped half a stone and practiced yoga

😆 I remember that. Vermaelen's the most forgetable captain we've ever had.

Why here?
I don't get the Arteta love in. Did he attain cult hero status sometime while he was injured? Or is it just the hair? When I think Arsenal, I certainly don't think "Arteta"
Jacks on Goals on Sunday this morning.
Most interesting thing hes said is that when he plays on the right Wenver tells him he can go in the middle as much as he wants to create things but hes to be on the right when we defend.

He's been a great servant for the club since he arrived. More than anyone he helped steady the ship the season he signed for us after that tumultous start to the season. He's also a leader and a model professional. What's not to like? He's now over the hill, more injury prone than ever and he shouldn't occupy the spot behind Coquelin in our squad but overall he's been great for us.
Exactly, he came to the club immediately after the 8-2 game and at our lowest ebb. He's not been a stand out performer or anything but him and Mertesacker largely brought about stability (well documented by various player interviews) and at a time when the mood in the dressing room threatened to become toxic following Gallas/Fabregas/Nasri etc. There was a serious lack of professionalism at the club.

He also mentioned the he actually prefers to play in that deep lying role which is the first time I've heard him say that.. I've always seen Jack as an attacking midfielder but maybe that role is better for him now due to his injury issues. He won't be hacked down as much and can focus on making things tick. Jack has had the habit of giving the ball away for us too much sometimes but when he plays that role for England he's alot more disiplined and controlled in what he does .. Hopefully if he can get fit  he can rotate with Cazorla a bit in that role.
What he's told him is basically do what Ramsey does.

Xavi with some nice things to say about Jack (and a dig at other English midfielders!).

Exactly. Its what he wants from them when they play on the right.

I think he could be a good fit for the job Santi is doing if he can follow Santis lead and be more positionally disciplined. That said I do think he'd pose a lot of similar problems to Santi.
If he's healthy and plays regularly this could happen. I'm not sure he'll ever be as smart as Santi is, but some things he could do as well as Santi does, and he could top Santi in others. But first let's see he actually has ankles.
Working for his coaching badges last night with the Welsh U16s.
That blond bloke is one big 15 year old!
