I think eventually you get what you deserve, though what people think they deserve is questionable. Either way, thinking about it, is a distraction.

Up until Man U scored the goal which was offside, and then a blatant push by Fellatio on Gibbs, we were clearly the better side. My eyes tell me this, and I imagine every stat worth taking note of backs that up. I can certainly see why the players feel they were hard done by.

However, that is only half the truth; when you don't take your chances, and we created many enough, then you are inevitably in danger of going behind despite dominating a game. The players should find some belief in the manner they played out those 60 odd minutes, but they need to also look to what they did wrong; the players need to collectively take responsibility for the poor finishing, and they should all hang their heads in shame for the irresponsible way they collectively behaved at 0-1. Not going to mention what I think the manager's role in all this is since I have already done so elsewhere.

We were th better side in every sense apart from the ability to clinically finish the chances we created. In a game that is entirely baed around the concept of creating and then finishing goal scoring opportunities I can't say we were outstanding as we fluffed every chance down de gea's way. The idea from Arteta that we were hard done by seems a but moot when we spurned the multitude of chances to put ourselves 3-0 up. That sort of self-aggrandising and lack of insight tends to run through the squad, plenty of them seem to think what they are doing at the moment is all good.

I seem to be in the minority here, but I actually like the players we have.

I'd sell Flamini, Monreal, Rosicky, Cazorla and Giroud because they are not good enough, I'd sell Podolski because our manager can't use him, I'd sell Diaby because he can't stay fit, and I'd loan out Campbell, Sanogo and Gnabry in the hope they reach what I think should be 'Arsenal standard'. 10 out - 5 top class players in.

Out of all those, I still can't say that I dislike any of them.

It's not really surprising that players who are associated with failure and humiliation are not particularly well liked by the masses. If we started winning I reckon that would change pretty quickly.

But I'm with Rex, while I don't want to bear their children, I like most of them in the squad even if a few of them annoy me.

😆 That's a given, of course. They are what they are though! Out of the players we have, Giroud annoys me the most. I don't dislike him though, but that stupid face he makes when he misses sitters makes me want to punch him in the face. Very apt that EA has put that very image as the icon when you want to quit an online game at FIFA. 🙂

Yeah, that is annoying. I remember once last year the ball was still in play but he was too busy with his hands over his head doing the Giroud face. I don't hate him though, and no one can fault his work rate. It was funny against Utd when he scored, you could see he was about to start celebrating and then stopped himself, seemed to remember the scoreline and time left, and made sure we restarted quickly instead. I found it endearing to see him curb his showboating instinct like that. Also because it was a peach of a finish.

that's the thing they aren't my offspring. they get paid very well by the club i support, so my only interest is for them to be better. if they aren't good enough, they aren't likable to me. my favorite arsenal players of all time seem to have two things in common: world class ability and a winning mentality.

In my defense, he does hold his hands over his face. I just assumed it was Giroud. Still not convinced it is Arteta. Need to have a proper look.
