Already quite good, with lots of potential for improvement.

And if he does continue to improve at the rate he's going, in the next 2-3 seasons, he'll be snapped up by a bigger club for much bigger dosh.

Feel quite pleased for him. Chelsea didn't do right by him. Everton gave him a chance and it's good to see him willing to take them on as a signing.

If Lukaku had come to Arsenal he would've played a hell of a lot of matches for us by now. Chelsea's a shit club, what with their natural tendencies made worse by Abramovich insisting his mega-flops get all the minutes.

Morinho said he offered Lukaku the option to fight for his position. Lukaku wanted assurances over a starting position so Jose felt he didn't have the right mentality to earn his place. A good offer came so they accepted. He should have stayed last year for sure but I don't think Chelsea did anything wrong by him this Summer.

It seemed rather unjust the way he was treated, particularly last season when he surely should've been at Chelsea and starting a lot of matches over the complement of strikers they had.

Perhaps he did make demands—or perhaps Jose just isn't a great man manager.

It is a bit strange that Mourinho let him go unless he's making room for a big signing upfront. Would've thought Lukaku's physical qualities would've been perfect for his usual tactics. Costa is good but Lukaku is proven in this league and could've taken some of the burden. Schurrle at no.9 could be an option but it seems against the usual Mourinho set up.

Also typically classless of Mourinho to criticise Lukaku's 'motiviation' or mentality in public.

No way Torres deserved minutes over him to the extent that he went to the wc unfit. Glad it happened though as that policy won them sweet fa last season.
