James is pretty meh for most of the season. Good, but not special unless he bother turning it up.

Gibbs is nothing special, neither is Monreal...we should be doing much better

Gibbs is not world class and probably never will be. However he's a decent player and signing players here is not a pressing issue. Monreal is one of the better-backups for this position in the league. The notion that Davies is better than Shaw even currently is laughable. He already is a competent left back and is probably the only one that has the potential to be be world class at this moment in the EPL. Would I have wanted him here? Definitely. However spending 30 odd million and 100k a week is just way too much. Besides you don't need all 11 of your players to be top notch to win the league.

Not inferior is not better. Anyway time will tell.

Liverpool is doing medicals currently for Lovren, Origi and Remy. So many average players that will add depth but not improve their first team.

Remy has been more prolific than Giroud. He's scored a goal every 2 games playing 6 months for a relegation outfit, 6 months with a midfield trio of Anita-Tiote-Sissoko supplying him and 6 months when he had 1 decent player in Cabaye.

Why compare him to Giroud when one could simply point out he's a seven-league step down from Suarez?

Lovren is a clear upgrade for Liverpool, and Origi looked very interesting to me at the WC. Think he has the potential to become a real star. I'd much rather have him than Sanogo for example.

What we should have done with Sanogo too last season; hopefully we will correct that this season, but I am very doubtful.

Sanogo must stay. As our no. 3 striker. Plenty of games. What we need now is a new no. 1 striker; or, at worst, a no. 2 striker ahead of Sanogo

Woodward is promising signings soon. Lot's of talk of United signing Hummels and Vidal.

RvP will be motivated under van Gaal, Rooney will be forced to prove himself. And with no European football on top of that they'll be a huge threat next season even without those additions.

The prices i've heard for Hummels aren't very big at all.

A shame that Manu seem to have the inside track when it comes to Dortumnd players.

They can get Hummels, don't want them to get Reus. The only other team I will be fine with Reus going to is Bayern.

Hummels isn't that good, I wouldn't be too worried if he goes to United.

Unsurprisingly the Hummels reports seems to be untrue. But if you followed what their CEO said than you'd know that. They have no problem rejecting 20-25m bids for Lewandowski in the last year of his deal. Hummels has 3 years left on his contract and isn't creating any problems.
