Personally I think he hopes to ride it out refuse interviews and then slither off to the WC, only to reappear on deadline day to see what bargains are to be had.

I don't think one game would solely change his decision completely, but I wasn't sold on the idea that he would be definitely staying on as manager anyway. Count me in as another who wouldn't be surprised if he stepped down as manager. Not sure he's enjoying himself.

I think Wenger genuinely want's to assess things come the end of the season before he puts pen to paper but I think it'd take a lot for him to walk away. By that I mean a collapse that leads to a scrap for 4th or failing to win the FA Cup, or whatever he deems a failure.

I'm not yet convinced that the rumors are anything more than the journalists putting 2 and 2 together. Wenger only has a few months on his contract, he's suffered heavy defeats to rivals, he's not talking to the press... you can see why they would make the assumption that he's gone.

What more is there to evaluate? The team is the team and the games will be played out, but nothing is going to change between now and the end of the season. His team can't motivate itself for the big league games, maybe it's because the manager has lost his motivation? Fuck knows.

Season ends here. Hope we at least keep it respectable. I honestly would start Rozza at (false) 9 with Pod, Caz, Chambo supporting and Ramsey and Arteta in midfield. Giroud on the bench.
