We are willing to pay upto 28 million pounds structured over 4 years. Schalke want straight cash. All about not blinking first ATM
Julian Draxler
We should just give them the cash , mucking around means other teams can bulldoze their way in and snap him up, making us look like mugs. I thought these days were over
i would be mad if Chelsea got Draxler. In Hazard and Oscar, they have two of the hottest young talents in all of football. we need Ozil-Draxler on board to rival their lot.
Chelsea fan here says they want to loan Salah to Schalke in exchange for Draxler

That is one advantage of the cash we have but we have to use it wisely. We got a £20mill+ player in Cazorla for £12mill paying all upfront and the vast majority of teams won't put the money upfront because they either don't have it and also it messes up a lot of their other transfer plans.

We should never just blindly hand over the cash unless it is a bargain. Ozil was available for £42mill and it was a no brainer imo. Draxler looks a top prospect but this £35mill price tag on his head looks steep from what I've read, negotiations are apart of football and I'll trust our scouts on this. We like other clubs activated Hazards buy out clause and if Wenger wants Draxler that bad and there is a threat someone could take him I don't think he'll hesitate to do it again.
Draxler is a boy who has said on several occasions that it is important for him that he gets to play. I think he would be reluctant going to Chelsea for that reason. When talking to his international team mates I reckon there is a big difference in what he hears from Schurrle and Özil/Podolski/Mertesacker about their respective clubs.
Nowadays footballers also want to be rich. Heads can be turned with a bucketload of cash
He's going to be rich either ways.
Young players should be looking at their peak earning years anyway, not trying to get the most money at 20.
He'll get big money at Arsenal too.

1/2 I'm being told that Arsenal and Schalke have been in deep negotiations to agree on a fee for Julian Draxler. And this morning a fee..
Has been finally agreed and Arsenal and Julian Draxler will now go into talks over personal terms. That's all I know at this stage guys.

Have you followed him on twitter before? Dunno if he's reliable, but some people on twitter say he's.
I know his rep, havent followed him myself because he is basicaly on the level on IndyKayla ja Ben Fairthorne.
Ok fair enough
Jim Slip is a Gooner?
While signing Draxler would be nice I'm having a hard time seeing what he's actually going to contribute with until the end of the season.
Impact off the bench and he'd be more ready for the start of next season.
The way draxler has talked about us gives you an indication of where he wants to go.
Chelsea's development of German players has been stellar. Marin not given a chance and loaned out. Schurrle dropped to the bench and ruining his world cup chances. Besides Chelsea can't afford the fee through FFP. If they weren't concerned about it they'd have rather kept Mata and taken a hit on the fee during the summer.
Pretty sure Draxler can afford Draxler. Fee isn't cheap but he's not going to be on the wages of a typical 40m signing.
