We might be playing him in the next round. He was very good against Villarreal, getting 2 goals. I like his pace and energy. Very direct player who can give us speed we are often lacking on counters. Would connect well with Laca/Auba. Has a bit of Reyes about him.

We've been 'linked' before he went to PSG but he seems to be playing more as LW than as a ST.

Wildly inconsistent player. Had a strong patch of form last season but wasn’t able to maintain it past a brief period if memory serves me right. He has too many games where he just disappears and has absolutely no effect on proceedings for my liking.

His trajectory has probably slowed since his move to Spain, but the fundamentals are still there, Flobs. Compared to our lot probably still better in terms of being able to beat a man, and get down the line. He has good acceleration and close control.

That said, he’s not in the same class as Joao. That’s a baller right there. The type of player I’ve been dying to see don our colors since Henry left. Just take on players and create havoc. He’d be our own Hazard - the type of difference-maker we lack in AM

Think we were in for Guedes last summer, but he only wanted to play in Spain. What do folks think of someone like St Maximin from Nice? 1 yr left on his contract I think, so should be available at a reasonable price. Great dribbler, great speed and decent end product. I'd probably prefer him to Ismaila Sarr and he'd be cheaper than Chukwueze. Of course, this is all only if we are looking for a winger - if Emery decides that 3-5-2 will be his preferred formation, then all this talk is somewhat pointless I guess.

Joao for such a young age shows such high intelligence in his game. Kaka is a good example for him. I think we don't have ambition to go big for someone like him, those kind of world beaters.

Dybala might be surplus to requirements, would definitely go for him.

Sain Maxim might be an interesting one, been Vieira best player after Balotelli left and he changed his formation to get the best out of him. We definitely need a winger even if it's 3 ATB formation, we often change to 343 anyway.

I’m thinking that if we make Champions League we should take a risk, and move Mkhitaryan and Ozil now for younger more athletic fellows.

We can touch up the midfield with a Xhaka replacement. Ramsey too. And Ozil if he is wise or still has any ambition at all can make way for a fine winger. His role is redundant in our set up.

Then give me a strong defender and a decent fullback.

We can bring in at least 4 solid signings if we play our cards right.

Every summer we miss out an a breakout star as other clubs nab them and move up the footballing ladder. We need our scouts to work their magic this summer and nabs us this summers version of Salah, Jovic, Rodri, Piatek etc.

Preferences? Wouldn't mind a couple of them, but hard to see where Dybala would slot in. Douglas Costa - on his day, too rare though - could provide somethign for our wings, while Sandro could be a good Monreal replacement to compete with Kolasanic.
