Agree about Gibbs. I used to think he'd become a great full back, but his mentality stinks. So weak and no real progress as a player.

Pogba has his flaws, but great potential. Would love to see someone like him and Ramsey in central midfield. Two dynamic, mobile monsters.

Shaw, Pogba (or Martinez) and Costa. Those are the type of players we need. Shaw, btw, is brilliant.

Have only seen highlights, but he's meant to be shit hot. And he's a beast physically.

I also want players who can run and press like there is no tomorrow. Shaw and Costa would be great. Martinez in central midfield would also be excellent. Dream scenario is Shaw, Costa and Martinez. Would cost us 100 mill, but it would be worth it.

If we did that, despite all the moaning about Wenger's tactical limitations, it'd take an incredible amount of bad luck on the injury front for us not to finish up around 85 points and really mix it with the big sides.

I don't think Martinez is attainable (or worth the money he would cost anyway tbh).

But I just want Costa honestly, anything else is just a bonus. He would be an absolutely perfect player for us.

It doesn't really matter if it is Martinez or someone else. The point is we have to bring in a cm this summer. It has been a proper mess ever since Ramsey got injured. We need a cm who can press, pass and tackle.

Porto rejected a 35m bid for Mangala on the last day of the transfer window from City. He will go for more than that.

i dont see the striker we need out there. balotelli seems too risky. costa and falcao will be snapped up by oil money. we've missed our chance to get suarez. benzema seems the best realistic option - but i'd prefer someone pacier.

gibbs and chesney are our most overrated players. i'm honestly not sure chesney is better than fabianski. arteta and cazorla should be squad players due to their lack of athleticism.

Costa isn't the most agile but he makes great runs at pace, can dribble well, can hold up the ball, and scores in big games - cup finals, Madrid derbis, Champions League. He's a beast and a winner and would take us to a new level. He's arguably having a better season than van Persie did in his last year for us.

We might need a new rb if Sagna doesn't sign his new deal, would also say we might need a top quality wideplayer with excellent movement and technique,good pace. So we're looking at 4 or 5 players. Need to keep Sagna, otherwise we might leave ourselves with too much to do.

He's not. It's a shame that we have so much work to do this summer. We could have done with a proper keeper otherwise to provide competition. Fabianski would have been a regular by now if he had extended his contract. Really think we should go for the Cardiff lad in the summer if he's not too expensive.

As for Gibbs he's a bang average player. Easiest player in the starting eleven to replace. Injury prone, lacks any form of positional sense and doesn't seem to have the mentality to improve. He's been at the same level for two-three years now.

We have more pressing issues than left back, but Wenger never goes into the market with a plan, he buys who he can and builds around that, Ozil being the perfect example. Could have have spent the 42m elsewhere on more pressing issues last summer, but Ozil as a long term signing is good.

We would have been in some trouble this season without Ozil, or at least without another creative player. Cazorla in this season's form at #10? Rosicky? Wilshere? It was a great buy by Wenger in my opinion.

Could have gone for a 20+ league goals a season goalscorer. And with 42m and wengers scouting network, there should be a few. Either way he has this summer to rectify that.
