A new manager will at least, show us something new with certain players. For instance, I would have loved to see a player like Ramsey, under a coach like Klopp or Tuchel. A player like Bellerin and Wilshere under Guardiola instructions etc

We have some interesting players who we don’t care about, simply because of the manager.

There are going to be plenty of managers who are obtainable or may have to change jobs; Zidane, Luis Enrique, Conte, Jardim, Tuchel (although a non starter due to Sven), Nagelsmann, Simeone, Ancelotti, Jogi Löw (my personal preference) etc

There will be plenty of choice.

I'd rather the club moved forward with a clear and coherent vision, not just getting in whoever we can for the sake of it. When you go down that path we will just end up in deeper shit than we are. I want the next coach to have a clear and positive way of playing football and impose that style at Arsenal. I look at Enrique or even Zidane and just see coaches who inherited world class squads and won with those, eventually both got found out. I'd rather we go for someone who can take an good squad and make them look great. Not that I want the guy but look at what Sarri is doing with Napoli, you put Enrique in charge there an doubt they'd be top 4 let alone top of the league.

Sarri couldn't beat City either. There aren't any managers out there who can guarantee anything for Arsenal, success or failure, other than Wenger. There's no excuse for keeping him around, the guy coming in can have at it for a year, maybe two, then we move on. Managerial stability is not only overrated, it is actually detrimental these days unless you're in a 4-6 year goldilocks situation, which you can only find by having a solid structure at the club while trying out different managers.

The only starters I want to retain by beginning of 2019-20 season would be Bellerin, Ramsey, Mkhitaryan, Ozil. Aubameyang. Maybe AMN has graduated by then but I doubt it. That’s 6 high quality players that need to be brought in over 3 windows.

I had initially overestimated these guys, but this season is teaching me a lesson in trust.

I'd add Mustafi and drop Mkhitaryan from that list. Agree on Maitland Niles hopefully graduating by then.

You’re probably right on both Mustafi and Mkhitaryan. I’m hoping the latter comes good
