I mean Chambers has been here for three years now, Holding two. They're not that great as talents to merit endless patience. I think both of them have had opportunities and none of them have shown that they're going to be the next Sol Campbell. Normally you'd send them on loan and, if they do okay, try to offload them for a decent fee. The likes of Swansea and West Ham can spend time trying to establish them as Premier League level footballers instead. We need to have a much quicker rotation of squad players. There's little point in them staying for years and years unless they're extraordinarily gifted.
Chambers is the better one of the two in my opinion. He looks like an Upson-level talent to me and I wouldn't be surprised to see him play for England, but as Arsenal starting material he is lacking. He's only three years younger than Mustafi but nowhere near his level at the same age. And Mustafi himself is a big question mark for us too. Whether he's good enough is still very much up in the air.
