And i did say to replace Vermaelen (who i presume will leave) so he'd be 3rd choice.

Exceptions can be made for world class players, nobody would have said no to Bale for example.

Caulker is far from world class though. No more rival rejects.

Can't for the life of me understand why some of you are so eager to replace Sagna with the much inferior Coleman. Better to make sure Sagna stays.

If Sagna wants to go, bring Coleman in. He still has 5 or 6 years at the top. We then needn't recruit starting back 5 for another 3-4 years. would be very stable.

Also, if Sagna goes, it will mostly be because we fail to put a good offer on the table. I know who I will blame if the warrior that is Sagna actually leaves at the end of the season.

I've seen you mention Calum Chambers a few times, Dules, I don't know anything about him. Doesn't Clyne start ahead of him though? What's he like? Is he really good enough to start for us sometime soon? Seems unlikely if he doesn't start for Southampton? Hopefully Sagna stays and we don't have to worry, but not sure going for someone so inexperienced is the right move if he does.

Caulker has always looked a really good prospect to me. Really surprised Spurs let him go. I've always rated Curtis Davies, too. Not really followed his career for a while but he looked like he has become a decent player when I saw him in the cup for Hull on Sunday. Maybe he could do a solid job as 3rd choice if Vermaelen leaves?

Tricks Chambers is starting to get games over Clyne. He's young but already has an impressive physique. You can tell he's a proper footballer by the way he moves his body and sorts his feet out. Well balanced and disciplined.

Keep an eye out for him. You'd like him.

There is a young bloke at Sociedad, Zaldua, who looks a top player in the making. Has played both CB and RB for them.
