Cazorla, Ramsey and Wilshere are the types who'd excel next to a Coquelin style DM. It's one of the few positions where we don't need strengthening at all.

Everyone keeps talking about Reus but I can't shake the feeling lately that our big "Galactico" signing this summer is going to be Götze. From the fans to the manager to upper management, it seems as if everyone at Bayern is really fed up with him. Add that to the fact that we were allegedly one of three teams that activated his release clause and entered negotiations with him the last time around (along with Man City and Bayern). Add that to the fact that Barca have a transfer ban, Real already have Isco and James and Chelsea already have Hazard. Put that all together and it really does seem as if we have as clear of a path to get him as you could hope for.

Anyone who has better inside knowledge at Bayern can enlighten us, why is it not working for him at Bayern and how bad is it really? If he's a bad apple, then i doubt Wenger is interested.

He's not average. I reckon he will be one of the top attacking mid in the very near future, along with Halilovic. His passing technique and vision is top notch.

I think Götze (like Isco) undoubtedly is a bigger talent than Reus, while the latter is more what we need. I'd be over the moon if we signed either of them.

I'd prefer Draxler to Goetze. Although he may be little rough around the edges, I think he's what we need more than Goetze. Although I do appreciate Klaus's view that one doesn't overlook one of the best young players around, but Draxler > Goetze from an Arsenal perspective for me. If we can get Reus/Draxler/Heung-Min Son and Gonalons/Krychowiak, I think that's a reasonable summer. Add a keeper and I'd be delighted.

I think he can...he's shown an ability to tackle (check Serie A thread). He's put good games at CM before. The problem is he's had a lack of continuity and 3 different managers have played him all the over the place. Inter haven't been friendly to young players, just ask Pirlo, Roberto Carlos, Coutinho.

Yeah, absolutely. I love Reus, but Götze is something else. I would do disgusting things to have him and Özil in the same lineup. They are the two most talented attacking midfielders in the world in my opinion.

Reus is better than Götze, by a good margin. The latter might have more natural talent but in terms of performances there's quite the gap between them.

There are a few Germans out there that we could pick up, to be fair. Götze, Reus and Draxler all have absolutely devastating potential. I reckon each of them would be world class in our system under Wenger. Reus is already there. The other two will require a bit of work, but I think their potential is even bigger.

Definitely, but I'd be willing to bet on that natural talent if Bayern really are stupid enough to sell him.

If you are talking about potential, Draxler is even more interesting compared to Gotze. And then you have Max Meyer too. Too much talents there.

Isco or Gotze? I think I might take the former.

@[deleted], I'd agree with you if I didn't hate the fucking sight of him.

Reus doesn't seem exactly smart either but he's more the lovable idiot type. I've never heard of someone (as prominent as Reus) dumb enough to drive for three or four years without ever having a licence, he even was the face of several car rental and gas station advertisements 😆
