If Walcott and Podolski leave, which looks more likely than not, we'll need another forward in the squad, we can't just have Alexis/Giroud/Welbeck. If Welbeck is judged to be a wide player long term then Wenger will have to get a 9.
There has to be some big South American in La Liga who can do a job for us.
cech* bellerin - hummels* - kos - gaya* coq ramsey-ozil sterling*-giroud-alexis
ospina debuchy - mert - gabriel - monreal gonalons* wilshere-cazorla ox-welbeck-dybala*
Gaya would be great. Should really snap him up before Real Madrid do.
You can count dybala out as their president has publically announced arsenal are tracking him, which basically means Wengers not interested anymore.
One devastating winger/wide forward - Bale, Sterling, Reus, Sharaawy etc etc
One striker - Morata, Cavani, etc
GK
CB if we send Chambers on loan
Arteta MKII
SO a minimum of 5 new players for me
schneiderlin, cavani, hummels, griezmann
sell theo and send chambers on loan
I'd like to see a starting GK, squad CB with Chambers sent on loan, a passing CM with a bit of end product for the squad, and a center forward who can eventually take over from Giroud. Another DM would be nice but it doesn't feel that likely - Arteta and Flamini are both under contract next year.
Cech/Lloris/Asenjo, Smalling, Parejo, Jonathas would be a very good summer IMO.
Sign any one of
-Reus/Sterling/Bale -Schneiderlin/Strootman/Javi Martinez/Kongdogbia/Itturaspe/Verratti/Gundogan
Then sign Gaya, Vietto, Fekir and loan them out.
If we get Bale, I'm fine with limited investment everywhere else. Even a Bale/Kondogbia summer would be massive. The Spuds would absolutely love that
I'm with Claude. I's be happy with Bale and not much else. Just for the lols.
Handanovic/Cech Bellerin Gabriel Kos Gaya Kondogbia/Gündogan Rambo Alexis Özil Reus/Salah/Anderson Benzema/Zlatan
I see Gaya is the flavor of this spring and summer.
Griezmann has been playing up front for most of this season, I'd take him as a CF rather than a winger.

There are much fewer potential world class LBs than most other positions, I believe that's why.

Yeah he'd be a very good signing. Can play up top or wide. Very different to Giroud. Attainable.
He's great. He cost Atletico £24 million though and has added plenty of value to that price.
He'd struggle up top for us, Atletico are far more direct; lots of diagonals, vertical passes, through-balls into space etc Exaclty how I'd like us to play.
We look to play off a target man, that is not his game IMO. He's at his best facing goal (playing on the counter).
but he'd be perfect in a three-man attack with Giroud and Sanchez. he wouldn't be my first choice for spelling Giroud, but has shown he can do a job as a false 9 if required. he'd be good. Griezmann vs Bale?
Bale every time
I think just the fact that Griezmann is compared to Bale this season shows how much progress he's made. If I picked a player for Arsenal I think Bale edges it because his type of player always does well in the EPL, but there's no question that Griezmann has been the much better buy and has actually bettered him both in terms of output and general performances.
