There are only a handful of goalkeepers around where you would say they are undoubtedly better than Cech. That makes him world class by any standards.

But anyway, if we can sign him Cech is a no brainer. While not at the top level he was I still think he is a top class keeper. Also Chelsea were a much better defensive unit in ₂₀₀₄ so that usually makes the keeper look better. I don't really think Courtois is much better than him, he is a lot younger though so has potential to become better. Also he was threatening to leave and not extend his contract IIRC, unless they recalled him. He is the future for them but even at 32 Cech has 6 top class years in him. However I don't think Mourinho would do any business with us under any circumstance. Also with Chelsea fleecing clubs left, right and centre these days I think he might be out of our price range.

Even with Coquelin in the squad we should sign this guy, with Arteta's situation still unclear and Flamini past it I think we need two DMs in the squad. For the harder games I'd definitely play with two DMs rather than one. I wouldn't pay through the roof though, before the Coq rose I would have paid whatever but now there is less pressure to pay top money.

Re: goalkeepers, I'd go for Handanovic at Inter. The guy is great. They're even rumoured to be looking at Szczesny as a potential replacement. Let's just swap with them and put some cash in-between.

I'd snap their wrist off if they want a loan. Throw in Podolski as well for good measure....

He only has one year left too. His current deal ends in 2016. He'll go this summer; probably to United if they lose de Gea. We need to act before that happens.

Handanovic's been underwhelming for 2 seasons now. Makes alot of basic mistakes nowadays.

He's been fine. He has saved Inter a lot more points in the last two years than he's cost them. He's a clear cut above both Szczesny and Ospina.

Agreed, had an inconsistent end to 2013 but has almost been flawless since then. He's far and away Inter's best player, kinda similar to Van cunt's last 2 years with us; a quality player in team full of mediocre players and some talented youngsters. He's not a ball playing keeper but he's very good at everything else. Easily a world top 10 keeper IMO.

I have, unfortunately, become wary of us signing Khedira due to him being cack the few times I have watched him this season. As a player with a dodgy history of injuries, I am now of the opinion that we should steer clear.

I have to say a lot of the wishlist lineups that get posted here are almost worse than what we can put out at the moment.

Anyway, I'd settle with Cech and Pogba.
