Lewandowski's been on the bench for Bayern lately. Rumors going round that Pep doesn't like him in the system he wants to play. I say go all out for him/Cavani this summer.

Lewandowski would be a better signing for us than Cavani.

Cavani's stats is shocking at PSG, goals, assists, win rate when he's played etc. No doubt PSG wouldn't mind selling him.

Oft, do you really believe that? I like Giroud, but Lewandowski is in my mind the superior footballer by far. Better technique, quicker, better finisher and a better passer.

Can say the same about Balotelli and add a few other attributes on top of that. Could have said the same about Podolski. Doesn't mean anything really.

His contribution to games is limited and I don't think he's particularly hard to mark out of a game. There was a game against England where he really caught my eye but since then he's been on the fringes of almost every game I've watched him.

He really isn't too far away in our system. Lewandowski would not be a good fit at all.

How would Lewandowski not be a good fit? He does everything Giroud does, and arguably does it better. In addition he creates chances for himself, poses a threat only because of his (granted, not blistering) pace, and is able to dribble a man.

Giroud is good, but we do really overrate our players too much sometimes.

It's not about overrating Giroud, I still want a better striker if we can find one. This is about Lewandowski not being as good as his reputation. He's big and strong so people assume he's good at holding the ball up but that's not remotely his game.

One of the strongest point of his game is holding up play and linking up with midfielder. Just ask any Dortmund fan, they struggled this season because none of their strikers can hold up play decently.

Agreed.

Saying Giroud is better than Lewandowski is the same as putting him in top 10 strikers in the world.. Last season people were saying Lambert was better than the Frenchman. What a turn around.

For me, it's clear why it's not working for Lewa at Bayern, they're playing this super narrow 343, where the striker has no room to breath, especially when they have 75% of the ball. It must be boring as hell for him, no time to work the channels or dribble a few players to make room for a shot, etc.

Hmm, when you're the only one who seems to hold a certain opinion I guess you have to sit down and re-evaluate things.

Having done so, I've come to the conclusion that maybe I'm the only one here who knows anything about football.
