Reus up front wont work in PL. His injury record is also not for the PL. Not hugely fussed if he goes to Real Madrid. Giroud is a superb option for us, very underrated, probably the best CF option for us. No one better out there.

Need to upgrade at CM over summer. Gündogan, Vidal, Pogba, Javi Martinez, Illaramendi, someone with real quality please.

Diaby, Flamini and Wilshere should be cut from our midfield and one star man brought in.

Not really. Giroud is very solid and we could get better than him only for insane money, so its not worth it. Need to break the bank for a star midfielder. Should have enough wages open if we would bin Diaby, Flamini and Wilshere.

Surprised Marvellous rates Giroud so highly. I'd agree he have improved quite a bit this season.

Giroud has been marvelous this season. This is why I am hesitant to just buy a striker. A year ago, I would have taken your Mandzukic's and Higuain's immediately, but this Giroud guy is scoring at a good rate and creating for his teammates. So you literally need to replace him with Cavani/Lewandowski/Ibrahimovic/Suarez level players. There aren't a lot of tier 2 strikers out there who can outdo him.

I also wouldn't play Reus at point in lieu of Giroud - we give away hold up play and make a small squad even smaller for set-pieces. I would happily put that Reus in a 3 with Ozil and Sanchez though. Happily.

Reus has been terrible since returning from injury. Many Dortmund fans are actually keen to see him go. So should we steer clear of a player in horrible form or buy him relatively cheaply now that his stock is low?

Not worth the work and the risk for me. Only if we sell Walcott in the Summer. Reus would be terrible as the lone frontman for us IMO.

Agreed. My wishlist for the summer would be:

In: Gonalons/Gustavo (DM), Lloris (I know, but I think he is a great GK) OR a CB replacement for Mertesacker, Striker (Benzema/Dybala/Berardi)

Out: Podolski, Campbell, Szcz/Mert, Flamini, Rosicky

Honestly, we have the money to go for a top, top player so we shouldnt look at guys like Gonalons. Lloris is great though, but Daniel Levy would not deal with us in a million years, did you guys read the alleged story that he supposedly tried to block us buying Özil all summer and was furious when Madrid still sold him to us after he thought he had a gentlemans agreement with them in the Bale deal?

On first look, you might think Gonalons is 2013. But on further research, he is having the season of his life. Lyon is mightily impressive this season with almost an entire squad of youth grads.

Reus wouldn't be worth the risk now? First Giroud can only be upgraded by Cavani, Suarez, Messi, Ronaldo and Benzema, and now Reus is considered a risk? Well, well...

We have been absolutely shite whenever we have played one of our small-sized wing-forwards up front and Reus would be exactly the same there.

We haven't really tested Sanchez up front.

Reus on the left and Sanchez up front is a definite option.

Agree completely. Especially if you have midfielders like Santi and Ozil too.

Because he's top quality? We haven't got a hope of signing him anyway; Wolfsburg are flying at the moment and are minted.
