I'm not sure Giroud will be a great reserve anyway. He seems like the kind of player who will need to play regularly in order to perform. Only exception I can think of is that Newcastle game last year where he came on to bag a brace, but we had already ripped them to shreds there and scored four times.

Didn't Dzeko score for fun off the bench last season?
I think he scored like 5 or 6 off the bench last season in all comps. Really is a top striker, don't see why he couldn't get us 30 goals a season.
Lots of news in Italy right now (I live there) about Balotelli to Arsenal. It won't be long until we get the nod or the pass.

Wonder if Cavani could be legitimately available given how well Ibra is playing. He doesn't look like he's aging/declining either - he could pretty conceivably keep his form for another couple seasons.
Ravel Morrison has joined QPR on loan, he would be a good signing for us, and he's and Arsenal fan. Barkley and him look like they will be top talents for England.
