I think Remy could score 20 league goals for us, but he's a bit underwhelming as a first choice.

I wouldn't mind signing Remy but we'd have to get another few big players too. The likes of Reus or Draxler and a midfielder like Schneiderlin and some quality defenders to replace Sagna and Vermaelen.

I was suggesting Ben Arfa in a similar way. Like if we signed Cavani, Suarez, etc then you know we aren't going to get Reus as well so Ben Arfa could be a good cheaper option.

We don't upgrade #9 properly with those players. Not close to being perfect IMO.

If we can get Draxler, Schneiderlin and replace Sagna properly, I definitely wouldn't mind Remy.

Doubt it. Everyone is already known these days. With Falcao out Jackson Martinez or Adrian Ramos might step up and flash a bit but those guys are already well known around Europe. Maybe Teofilo will convince someone he's quality 😆

You forgot how many Japanese and Korean players were signed by European clubs after 2002? And also Mexican players after 2006, Honduran after 2010.

This year's gem will probably come from Bosnia, Iran, Costa Rica etc

All of the good Bosnian players are well known. As for Costa Rica, they have Oviedo who is at a top club, Ruiz who is well known, Campbell at a top club. Their RB interests me though, Christian Gamboa. Saw him play vs Mexico in the last round of qualifying and he tore them to pieces. Unreal pace about him.

Thinking about it, there will definitely be gems coming out from Mexico this time round. Miguel Herrera love using his own league's players and already there are a few of them getting scout interests since the play-off win against New Zealand. Always alot of talented players in Mexico not yet moved to Europe.
