Cavani has never impressed me whenever I watched him ever since he left Napoli. But we all know he is top class. PSG wants more than the 60m for they paid him which I think is out of our reach. He is also at most worth 30-40m in my books.

I would very much prefer Benzema, more value for money and more in his locker.

Ye Darmian looked really good. I actually watched Torino a bit this season and never noticed him tbh.

As for Cavani v Balo. Cavani is top drawer and would score 30 for us no problem. Balotelli has similar if not more potential though and we could probably get him and someone like Schneiderlin together for the amount it would take to get Cavani.

Cavani is clearly a lot more prolific than Balotelli and he works a lot harder. Having said that, if we sign either of them I will be a very happy camper.

I'd take either of them really but I reckon we'd have a real title shot with Cavani.

Cavani may have racked up the goals for PSG but he wasn't comfortable playing second fiddle and out of position. He didn't look as dominant and has carried over the loss of confidence to the World Cup. He needs a change of scene. It will be massive if we could give that. Balotelli is an incredible talent but Cavani over him at present.

cavani has already proven he's an elite striker, the patchy 12 months he's had changes nothing. i do think a mentally locked in balotelli could be better than cavani in the long run.

Balotelli for me is more talented than Cavani, but the Uruguayan has consistently done 'it' over the last 5 seasons or so. Basically, Cavani is a sure thing while Balotelli is not.

We need one of them though!

Even in this so called patchy run (25 goals in 43 games) he's bagged many more than Balotelli has ever in 1 season.

That is probably why he'd cost more than twice as much as Balotelli as well. With Cavani you buy the finished article, with Balotelli you take a risk and buy a player who has the potential to become as good.

He's a very smart footballer. Fancy him to do big things if he can make the right move from Sociedad.
