Juve bought him as an eventual Pirlo replacement, but they didn't count on Pirlo still being this good. He'll probably play another 2-3 years at top level. I think Asamoah would be a great central midfielder for us.

Apart from talking specific players, how many players do we really expect to buy this summer? By my reckoning, we need six - 2 strikers (one high quality, one young backup) OR a striker and a LW; RB, 4th CB, DM, GK backup. Goes completely against our track record to buy that many players in a window. What do you expect? I think we'd be lucky to get three (ST, DM, RB) and we'll go into next season on a wing and a prayer on the CB front.

Lets hope this story of Milan 'giving up' on Balotelli is true.

It might be true but I do worry about his attitude and whether we could sort it out here. They'll probably want £30m for him and can we afford to take a risk at that price?

Don't want Balotelli. He will never live up to his potential.

Best case scenario for this summer seems to be Suarez to Real and Benzema to Arsenal.

I don't think he's worth what he would likely cost to get but I wonder what might happen with Javi Martinez this summer. He's somewhat expendable at Bayern. I can't imagine that they would turn down an offer similar to the amount they paid for him initially.

Think Pep prefers to use him as a CB so he will get games there ahead of Boatang. Would love to sign him though, he was incredible last season for them. Remember a Bayern fan saying they aren't really a selling club and don't need the money when it came to Kroos, so not sure they'd even sell him.

I don't know. Rode is already a confirmed arrival in midfield. In defense, Badstuber will be back and there are rumors about Laporte going to Bayern. I see his situation as being similar to Mata's at Chelsea; the manager rates him as a good player but doesn't see him as being totally vital to the overall plan. I wouldn't expect Martinez to move this summer but it wouldn't shock me.

Wenger has many flaws, no doubt. But one thing I trust him to do is make a player fulfill his potential. If Balotelli can't make it at Arsenal, he can't make it anywhere.

I have read that they are planning to loan out Rode next season.

If they are looking to get rid I'd hope we are interested, Chelsea spent over £20m on Matic and for me Martinez is the better player.

Another midfielder like Ramsey is exactly what we need imo. Every other midfielder at the club is lacking in an important area and as soon as Ramsey is missing our midfield struggles. Someone with a good all round game who can play beside Arteta but also Ramsey would be ideal.

I really want Benzema. He's played really well for Madrid this year as a full-time starter and you know Wenger will get even more out of him. If he doesn't renew his contract (which according to Madrid fan friends is a strong possibility - he still feels unappreciated and is tired of being support to Ronaldo), then Madrid will have to sell, and they probably couldn't ask for more than £30m. I don't think there's a better deal to be had if Costa's off to Chelsea.
