Basically, what Ofty said. Gibbs and Sagna are certainly not 'awful' going forward. In pretty much every game they contribute to our attack, but in different ways. In game after game Sagna puts in quality crosses. While we certainly mostly build our attacks through the right and mostly have a left winger who comes in field, Gibbs' main contribution is running into space. He does that by either going on the outside, or getting the ball wide and cutting in. While I concede that Gibbs' final ball too often is disappointing, it is wide of the mark by some way to say that they don't contribute in a meaningful way to our attacking play.
Using the previous game as an example was just to illustrate exactly that; both of the players DO contribute to our attacks. That game wasn't special at all in that sense.
