Not sure why everyone is focusing on the accident part, that's just your usual Wenger PR attempt to promote the quality of his squad. I find this comment far more of a concern.

we were caught at the start of the game. Why? We don’t really know.

Whatever group meetings and analysis they've had, I'd have hoped they'd come out with more answers than "I don't really know".

Absolutely, but I don't see any issue with the early kickoff thing personally. The three times it's just happened to be away against the top three teams. The kickoff time has to be a non issue.

Koscielny said a while back in an interview that he doesnt feel physically up to it early in the day. Doesnt make sense to me either but there you go.

the midday thing is a diversion. our 17 goals in 3 games have nothing to do with the early kick-off. these teams would've happily spanked us at breakfast, lunch or dinner time.

the real issue is this: playing an attacking line-up against teams that break very quickly against us, and then not adjusting defense to stop the bleeding. naivety

That's not the real issue, that's one issue. But it's also a fact that in each of the three games several of our goals were as a result of sloppy individual errors, many of which were under no pressure either.

in 26 games this season, our defenders have been nothing short of superb. in 3 games, they let it all go. it's because they are put in situations where mistakes will be committed, by being unprotected against the most lethal sharpshooters in the league.

i actually doubt Wenger knows much about adjusting to other teams' tactics. he can coach a great system, but he's not going to be like Benitez who has 8 different defensive formations he can apply depending on the situation. Wenger's probably the best coach in terms of preparing a system, but lags his peers in terms of adjusting to opponenets

It's not just the defenders though, I'm talking about Santi, Ox, Ozil and others giving the ball away in areas that should never happen in any game, never mind over and over again in these games. These guys are good enough to deal with pressure, and they're certainly good enough not to pass it to the opposition under no pressure.

It's bad prep.

those very ones. i meant the collective of Chelsea, City and Liverpool. the three top teams in the league. and don't sleep on Eto'o. he's the kind of guy to lead Mourinho to another Champs League trophy

They are in theory but this season Cazorla and Ox in particular have been giving the ball away cheaply.

Results (apart from the 3 drubbings) have been ok this season. Individual performances have not.

Our defenders usually have license to move ahead because our MF is keeping the ball. They have failed to do that time and time again.

We are supposed to be a passing, possession based team, yet give the ball away cheaply in every BIG match. the defenders are not used to it. Though after the first 3 goals you think they would learn.

It's Wenger, the players and the big match thing ... we just do not cut it. We need to change big time.
